Step On Stage (S.O.S) once again invites you to an evening of music created and performed by Denmark’s emerging talents. As always, we strive to create a safe space where all artists can step onto the stage, perform live for you, and share their music with the world.
Stop by to support local independent artists - and maybe discover your new favourite band! At this edition of Step on Stage, you can experience:

Maya's Call:
Mayas Call takes the listener on a journey through a colorful, diverse, and alternative soundscape, featuring songs that range from melodic rock tracks and ballads to hard-hitting punk anthems. While the band’s sound is rooted in the 90s alternative rock scene, a passion for experimentation drives them to push boundaries and create something progressive and captivating. Now five years into their journey, the band has established itself as a seasoned live act, having performed at venues and events such as Rust, Drop Inn, Pumpehuset, and the Kun For Forrykte Festival. They released their debut album, *Maya’s Call*, in 2025 and have since been working on material for their next release.
Ronja:
At its core, the young band Ronja is equal parts personal and collective. Featuring shared lead vocals, they play melodic indie rock characterized by big chords and tiny vocals, much like their inspirations from the 90s and 2000s. The coming-of-age sentiment of the lyrics contributes to the sense of longing that permeates Ronja’s universe: a dream of another place and another time.
Red Light District:
Red Light District is a shoegazy blend of noise-pop and indie-rock buried in an overdose of FX and dreamy textures. The writing draws inspiration from your favorite indie megastars like Beach House and MGMT, pushed out through cheeky mannerisms and a sound best described as plastic computer rock. This results in a lot of sound, making for a driven and magical live experience. It’s more rock than it’s roll, but more pop than it’s noise. Get it?
The lyrics could be about everyday contemplations and alienation, or they could be about the big love. RLD wants you to think about what matters if the world ended tomorrow. AKA: real sh@!#t
